White County 4-H FairEntry Program to open June 1

White County 4-H will once again be using the FairEntry program to register projects for the White County 4-H Fair. All projects (animal and building) will be registered before the Fair using this online program. The White County 4-H FairEntry program will open for use beginning June 1.

Instructions for completing the FairEntry process were included in the May/June 4-H newsletter. All Live Animal (Beef, Dairy, Goats, Horse, and Pony, Llama, Sheep, Swine, Poultry, Rabbits, Cats, Dogs, and Small Animals) entries are due in FairEntry by July 1. All Exhibit Hall (Building) Projects and Events (i.e. Tractor Driving) are due in FairEntry by July 1 as well.

Please note that the FairEntry program does not change the deadlines and requirements for Record Sheets, Manuals, and Educational Activities. These items will still be turned into the Extension Office. All record sheets, manuals, and/or educational activities for all projects are due to the extension office by July 1. All of these requirements must be met to exhibit at the 2022 White County 4-H Fair. If you have any questions about the requirements or FairEntry, please contact the White County Extension Office at 219-984-5115.

Jr. Leaders’ upcoming events

White County and Carroll County Jr. Leaders have once again paired up to host our annual Indiana Beach and Madam Carroll trip for any interested Indiana 4-H Jr. Leaders. This event grows every year with more and more groups from around the state joining us for a day of fun.

The date for this will be June 13. We will be meeting at Indiana Beach at 11 a.m. and the Madam Carroll cruise will be from 7-10 p.m. The cost is $25 for Indiana Beach and $15 for Madam Carroll, or $39 for both.

Interested White County 4-H’ers (participants must be in grades 7-12) need to reach out to Molly Childers at the Extension Office no later than June 6 to turn in their registration and payment. This event serves as a fundraiser for White and Carroll County Jr. Leaders.

Molly Childers is the White County 4-H Youth Development Educator. She can be reached at childer9@purdue.edu.
