The White County Extension Homemakers recently received a generous grant of more than $2,000 from REMC, allowing their Homemakers’ Care Program to continue providing essential hygiene items to students in need at Tri-County, North White, and Frontier schools.
The program supplies students with a variety of personal-care essentials, including shampoo, deodorant, toothpaste and toothbrushes, combs and brushes, socks, underwear, and feminine hygiene products, among other necessities. These items ensure that students facing financial or personal hardships can access basic hygiene supplies that support their comfort, confidence, and success in the classroom.
