Seniors invited to Heart Fellowship 

The Heart Fellowship of First Presbyterian Church, 104 N. Illinois St., will meet Wednesday, March 9, from 11:15 a.m. to 1 p.m.

This month’s program is Candice Wells of the Monticello-Union Township Library. She will speak about the various adult programs the library offers.

Church to host Lenten series

The First Presbyterian Church of Monticello is launching a series of “Illuminating Lent” messages with fresh insights into its deeper meaning.

On each Wednesday, up to and including Holy Week, at 6:30 p.m., they will delve more deeply into the meaning of Lent.

The community is invited to attend.

Brookston library to have Toddler Time

BROOKSTON – Story Hour is back at the Brookston Library, 111 W. Second St., Brookston.

Story Hour takes place each Friday at 10:30 a.m. Children aged 3-5 are invited to a time of stories and crafts.

On March 25, the library will have Toddler Time at 9:30 a.m. Toddler Time is for children aged 18 months to 2 years old. There will be stories, songs, and finger plays.

The third Thursday of each month, at 4:30 p.m., the library will have after school activities for children in kindergarten through fifth grade.

There will be a Lego building activity the third Tuesday of each month at 3:30 p.m. for students in kindergarten through fifth grade at the library.

Chair exercise class offered at church

First Presbyterian Church of Monticello invites the community to a chair exercise class at the church, 104 N. Illinois St., on Tuesday and Thursdays from 10-11 a.m.
