1. The Frosty Mug began in the mid-1950s as one of the first fast-food restaurants in Monticello. The Kretchmars owned the restaurant and decided to take it down and replace it with The Tree House in the 1980s. Now the restaurant is called Harvest Time.
2. American Legion Post #319 once existed in Monon. It was named after Eugene Hughes post. It had 70 members initially. When it was lost is unknown.
