1. This was the old hospital in Monticello. It was lost in 2008 when the new IU White Memorial Hospital opened on South Sixth Street. The old hospital first opened in 1956.

2. The town became a city in 1910. It was first founded in 1834, at the same time as the county was founded. It became incorporated as a town in 1853.
