Imogene B. (Bowsher) Moore, 96, of New Carlisle, Ohio, (formerly of Monticello) passed away at 10:50 p.m., Wednesday, November 30, 2022, at Vancrest of New Carlisle.
She was born on Wednesday, January 13, 1926, in Tippecanoe to the late James and Edna (Fross) Bowsher. On April 13, 1946, at the old Zion Bethel Church in rural Monticello, she married Clive “Bert” Moore; he passed away on Monday, September 23, 2019.
Imogene sang in the choir at First Baptist of Monticello, Indiana, and in Buttonwood Bay,
Florida. She enjoyed sewing, embroidering, and quilting, and was an avid collector of dolls.
Surviving are three children, Nancy (husband Calvin) Dyer of New Carlisle, Ohio, Susan (husband Jeff) Mc- Carroll of Dayton, Ohio, and David (wife Susan) Moore of Valparaiso; six grandchildren, Michelle (husband Todd) Campbell, Stephanie (husband Kelly) Stevens, Marc (wife Jenny) Dyer, Adam (wife Terra) Moore, Aaron (wife Lauren) Moore, and Emily Moore; eleven great-grandchildren; and several nieces, nephews, great nieces, great nephews, cousins, and friends.
Imogene was preceded in death by her parents, James and Edna (Fross) Bowsher; husband of 73 years, Clive “Bert” Moore; and six siblings, Roy, Francis, and Jacob Bowsher, Ina Rubright, Grace Keyl, and Madora Purdy.
A gathering of family and friends will be from 12 p.m. (noon) to 2 p.m., Saturday, December 10, 2022, at the Miller – Roscka Funeral Home of Monticello. Burial will be private for the family in the Hughes Cemetery of rural Monticello.
In lieu of flowers, memorials may be given to the wishes of the donor. Envelopes will be available at the funeral home or can be mailed to the Miller – Roscka Funeral Home, 6368 E. U.S. 24, Monticello, Indiana, 47960.
