Answer: The young man pitching is Eric Smithburn. Eric graduated from Monticello’s Roosevelt High School and then attended Indiana University for a law degree. Eric has been a member of the Notre Dame Law School faculty since 1978, first as a visiting assistant professor of law (1978-79), then as an associate professor of law (1979-82), achieving the rank of professor in 1982. He directed the Law School’s summer program in London from 1984 to 2000.
