Daniel E. ‘Dan’ Kesler

August 31, 1965 – January 27, 2023

Daniel E. “Dan” Kesler, 57, of Monon passed away on Friday, January 27, 2023, at his home in Monon.

He was born on Tuesday, August 31, 1965, in Lafayette, to the late Willis Eugene “Gene” and Mary Ann (Widner) Kesler. On April 18, 1991, in Monon, he married the LOVE of his life, Loretta L. Justice; she passed away on Sunday, August 14, 2022.

Dan had lived in the Buffalo and Monon areas most all his life. He and “Buddy” Kenneth Jones, went on to a semi-truck driving school near Fort Wayne. He worked for Co-Alliance of Reynolds for the last several years. Dan was an avid Hot Wheels collector.

He loved and enjoyed spending time as possible with his grandchildren, and family, get-togethers, and enjoyed time around the bonfires.

Dan also enjoyed “wrenching” on vehicles and especially riding his Harley Davidson motorcycle. He enjoyed stopping and looking around flea markets. Dan was quite the “Wheeler Dealer!”

Surviving are four children, Bradley “Brad” (wife Sam) Kesler of Reynolds, Tiffany (husband Bryan) Seward of Rantoul, Illinois, Eric (wife Erin) Colvin, and Christina Colvin, both of Monon; thirteen grandchildren, Ariel, Felicity, Xavier, Oliver, Isla, Lindze, Levi, Braxton, Zayden, Hope, Brice, Felipe, and Shantel; one great-granddaughter, Ella; two sisters, Cheri (husband Paul) Maple of Buffalo, and Cynthia “Cindy” Kesler, Rantoul, Illinois; several nieces, nephews, great nieces, great nephews, cousins, and friends.

Dan was preceded in death by his parents, Willis Eugene “Gene” and Mary Ann (Widner) Kesler; wife, Loretta L. (Justice) Kesler; and one great-granddaughter, Alora.

A Memorial Gathering of Family and Friends will be at a later date.
