Bolen announces candidacy for White County Commissioner

MONTICELLO — Jim Bolen, a lifelong public servant, veteran, and dedicated community leader, officially announced his candidacy for White County Commissioner (District 3).

With more than two decades of service in law enforcement, public safety, and community leadership, Bolen brings proven integrity, discipline, and a steady hand to county government. He is running on a platform of protecting farmland, restoring transparency, and putting citizens first.

“I believe the people of White County deserve a commissioner who listens, leads with honesty, and protects the heart of our community — our land and our families,” Bolen said. “I will fight to preserve our farms from over-sized energy projects, demand open government, and ensure that every taxpayer dollar is spent wisely.”

Bolen served in the U.S. Air Force, was a crew chief mechanic during Desert Storm, and later rose through the ranks of the White County Sheriff’s Department, culminating as chief deputy. He has also served as town marshal, school resource officer, coach and volunteer, and is deeply connected in the community.

Bolen intends to hold several “Listening Events” in every region of the county in the coming weeks and months. He welcomes citizens’ input and pledges to run a positive, issues-driven campaign.
