O’Brien two-time cancer survivorMackenzie O’Brien is a survivor twice over.
The Frontier high school senior and Chalmers resident knows what it means to persevere through trials having survived cancer twice, once as a newborn and then again at age 3. Those battles are leading her to the Purdue University College of Health and Human Sciences where she will major in biomedical science. Her hope is to become a doctor, specifically in oncology, though she has her mind open to other fields of interest, she says.
